Stop and smell the...tulips

As stressful as my day job can be and as much as I hate going to it somedays, I do feel grateful that I work down the street from THIS!

Ring Number 2

Ring Number 1 UPDATE

Eventually I'm sure I'll come up with clever names for everything I create, but right now, I'm lazy. So for lack of a better title, here's a photo of Ring #1's progress. Here is her before. Oh and yes, I feel my creations are of the female gender.

Diamonds #1 Complete

I finally finished my first drawing in my diamond series! Check out what it looked like in the beginning. I'm hoping to do a lot more versions using different colored pens, washes, and various arrangements with the diamond motif. For now, this O.G. is being gifted to a special someone. Ring Number #1

I've finally picked up my tools again and started making! You don't know how good it feels to feel the file scrape against that soft, buttery wax. It's some form of satisfaction I won't go into much detail about for fear of nerdy, jewelry making embarrassment, but trust me, izzz gooooood. And what's even better?? Finally seeing a design that's existed only on paper for months, come to fruition right before my eyes. Yes, I can definitely say, THIS is what I'm supposed to be doing with my life.

Almost there

I've started to ink the diamonds finally! It's interesting how just a little ink can change the attitude of the piece completely. Before they were subtle and soft spoken. Now they seem to be screaming at me, in a good way of course.
